Sarah's Mission to do MoRE!

About This Campaign

"It's hard to describe the pediatric oncology floor. Its very bittersweet. It was a place of sadness but also a place of bright beaming smiles. I always tried to keep a positive spirit while visiting my brother in the hospital. While realistically I was breaking inside. It wasn't easy seeing your brother sitting on a hospital bed screaming in pain. It made me feel helpless. If I could I would of taken his pain away in a heartbeat, but I couldn't. That was the hardest." -Sarah Cahill, 2013

My name is Sarah Cahill and I am a 20 year old college student majoring in Psychology at Stony Brook University. I am the Founder & Program Director of the MoRE Hope for Johnathon. A program inspired by my brothers winning battle against pediatric cancer. The KiDS NEED MoRE Hope for Johnathon Program is focused on enhancing the lives of children, families, and young adults coping with cancer or life threatening illnesses.

Our mission is fulfilled by:
-personalized gift baskets (welcome to the program!)
-year round parties
-home visits, hospital visits, & therapy dog visits
-special events at local hospitals & their supporting facilities

Currently, we have over 300 children enrolled in our program and that number is growing. Anyone can hand a child a gift and bring a smile to their face but sharing a laugh or a memory is even better. I am a strong believer in using our natural gift of time to help these heroes and their families.

Kindly consider making a small donation to sponsor one of our services for a sick child. Help us do MoRE!

Campaign to Support KiDS NEED MoRE

At KiDS NEED M❤️RE  we believe that people and families coping with life-threatening illness and trauma deserve opportunities to enjoy normal day-to-day activities.

Through camping experiences, like our historic Camp Adventure program, we run activities that foster peer relationships, independence and respite. We hold free gatherings and events.

The M❤️RE Hope For Johnathon Program delivers specialized packages to families and provides peer mentors that make friendly home and hospital visits.

At KiDS NEED M❤️RE  we believe that children and families coping with life threatening illness and trauma deserve to do M❤️RE than just survive. They deserve to thrive! Our programs and activities are designed to reunite siblings and allow parents time for respite. We create networks with other families that are facing similar experiences. We believe fun and friendship heals. J
